An evening filled with Goan flavours and mood – let’s eat, drink & be merry!
Why You:
I am an Andhra girl who married a Goan boy. We are literally 2 states! While building our relationship, we also managed to discover different flavours and cuisines from our hometowns and our grandmothers’ recipes. Both my husband and I love cooking and enjoy our time together in the kitchen. We would love to take you on an interesting culinary experience – with a bit of mixed flavours and interesting mash-ups!
Description:
We would love to spend an evening with you – sharing stories and food from Goa – a favourite holiday destination! We are eager to hear some of your stories too!.
Location:
Bangalore - HSR Layout
The exact address & location along with host contact will be shared with you after the payment.
Food & Drinks:

We are creating an authentic Goan experience – down to the Feni and the sausages all sourced from Goa

Beverages

Kokum Juice

An extract from the very unique Kokum fruit which is native to the western coastal regions of southern India only, this is had with a splash of soda and lime. A must try if you have not had this before

Cashew Feni

Traditional Goan liquor made of cashews. It can’t get more Goan than this!

Sangria

A fruity blend of port wine, brandy and fresh fruit, it is a mouthfull of flavours when you drink it.

Appetizers

Rawa Fried Prawns

In this Goan classic, prawns that are crusted with semolina are fried till they are crispy and golden, served hot. A great accompaniment with beer!.

Mince Croquettes

These croquettes are very popular in Goa, no feasts, weddings, parties in Goa are complete without croquettes. Beef mince is mixed vegetables and spices and pan fried, is had with a very tangy chutney.

Main Course

Feijoada

Feijoada is a stew of beans with pork of Portuguese origin. A typical Goan dish, if you have not had it, its a must try. A hearty dish to enjoy with steamed rice on a rainy evening!.

Chicken Xacuti

Chunks of chicken cooked to perfection with the local masalas. Good to eat with rice or Poi.

One of my favorites

Dal

A simple household recipe to bring together the entire meal.

Poi

Known as the Goan pita, it is leavened bread which can be eaten with curry or as
a snack.

Sausage Pulao

Pulao with made with traditional sausages, onions and peas. Its like all good things are put together in this dish. A goan special.

Dessert

Mangane

It's a famous Goan dessert made during the festive seasons. Chana dal is

cooked with jaggery and coconut milk to produce this famous wholesome dessert.
